The Mechanics’ Institution Trust are a local social enterprise that combines a building preservation trust and a development trust.
They are actively involved in partnerships and alliances between the community, voluntary, private and public sectors so have complex communication needs.
Oikos got involved in the Trust’s re-branding, providing the “Community – Building – Trust” structure for the content, and turned the final designs into an elegant WordPress theme.
- helped get the site into search engines such as Google and Bing,
- advised on and got involved with the Trust’s use of social media;
- set up the Google Apps suite of tools to allow branded email and collaboration tools.
Oikos created what has become a well-publicised website and social media presence for the Mechanic’s Institution Trust that’s already resulted in new members and donations.
